Can your organization answer three questions?

Who made the decision?

02

What did they know at the time?

03

Why was the decision reasonable?

Most organizations can produce the document.

That was never the same thing.

Dori Gonzalez-Acevedo

Nearly three decades in Regulated Life Sciences.

Dori has spent nearly three decades in the trenches of the life sciences industry, witnessing firsthand what happens when rapidly scaling organizations outgrow their decision-making processes.

She developed the Decision Quality Intelligence framework out of necessity, building a defensible, continuous practice for organizations that cannot afford to get it wrong.

Through The Courage to Reinvent, Dori is bringing this discipline to leaders who are ready to abandon intuition in favor of intention, equipping them with the exact tools needed to make decisions they can confidently stand behind.

Dawn Russell

Co-host of The Courage to Reinvent

Dawn Russell, co-host of The Courage to Reinvent

Dawn Russell is co-host of The Courage to Reinvent. She leads UX product design for revenue cycle management at Natera, a molecular diagnostics company transforming disease management through cell-free DNA testing and precision medicine. The science is a decade ahead of the systems that pay for it. Her work spans prior authorization, claims, and appeals, building products where the regulation is real, the data is messy, and uncertainty about the bill is its own barrier to care. She has reinvented her own work enough times to know what it costs, and she’s doing it again now by creating data products where machines take the manual volume and predict how a payor will answer before a patient is ever exposed to the bill.

She works at the seams, where people, process, and technology meet and business outcomes are won or lost. Before Natera she was Vice President of Product and Design at Seven Bridges Genomics, leading thirty people across sixteen scrum teams, and Senior Manager of Product and UX Strategy for enterprise information architecture at CVS Health. She spent seven years before that running her own product studio. She studied psychology, anthropology, and metalsmithing at The Evergreen State College, and still draws on all of it.

A founding member of Chief, she convenes a Lean In circle for women that explores maintaining one’s values and humanity amidst the pressure to adopt rapidly evolving AI technologies. She is drawn to the questions few have framed yet, and to the conversations that help people see how their work connects to the bigger picture so they can collectively drive change.

As fractional Chief Product Officer at ProcellaRX, that is the work: product strategy, workshop facilitation, and the conversations this podcast was built for.
